Sayreville STEM Day hosted by Parlin, NJ facility & presentation of grant money
Sayreville War Memorial High School students within the honors chemistry program were given the unique opportunity to attend a class being taught by Ashland engineers, after which they took a tour of the Ashland production facility. This helped promote the sciences and increase interest in engineering. Through the program, students were able to see how the lessons being taught in their classrooms directly apply to the real world, and hopefully inspire a future career involving science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
To enhance Sayreville War Memorial High School (SWMHS) student's chemistry program, David Bamford submitted a grant application through Ashland to help provide equipment and supplies that benefited the STEM program, in hopes to provide a better education for students interested in the sciences.
