Applied Research conducts discovery synthesis, developing new products in collaboration with customers. Our innovative solutions excite and meet customers’ technical and market needs. We utilize both molecular modeling (digital innovation) and longstanding expertise in structure-property relationships of both polymers and small molecules. Strong capabilities include:
- synthetic polymers: homopolymers and copolymers of VP, VCap, acrylates and hydroxy acids; polyurethanes and polyether acetals
- natural polymers: polysaccharide derivatives based on cellulose and galactomannans
- solution, precipitation, suspension, and other polymerization techniques
- preservatives, surfactants, emollients, monomers and functional molecules
