optiphen™ od is a global multifunctional additive. The 1,2-alkanediol can be combined with very low doses of preservatives to effectively preserve personal care formulations acting as potentiator. Based on 1,2-octanediol it can be used in a variety of cosmetic formulations. optiphen™ od multifunctional is well known and widely used in personal care applications due to its balanced way of boosting preservative activity and imparting emolliancy while being effective over a very wide pH range.
