Ashland India donates 25 oxygen concentrators to BSES MG Hospital

Ashland India’s CSR team rallied together with the Rotary Club of Bombay Juhu Beach, a Public Charitable Trust (Rotary), to sponsor Medical Oxygen Concentrator Machines for BSES Municipal General Hospital at Andheri West, Mumbai. The Medical Oxygen Concentrator Machines will be used to provide artificial respiration support to COVID-19 patients treated at BSES MG Hospital.

Ashland’s Hopewell manufacturing facility recently hosted a pause for safety break as a reminder to everyone on the site that Safety is always our #1 priority. A variety of ice cream and healthy snacks were handed out.

Ashland has joined the global movement of leading companies and is aligning operations with the ambitious aim of the Paris Climate Accord to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C above preindustrial levels.

We have also committed to making the UN Global Compact and its principles part our ESG and business strategy, culture and day-to-day operations, and we will engage in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals.

solving to support first responders

 

We used some of our capacity at our Calvert City, KY plant to manufacture and package 16,500 gallons of hand sanitizer. This was then shared with Ashland production facilities across the US, and donated to many hospitals, first responders, health care facilities and more in the communities in which our employees live and we operate.

The Ashland Women’s International Network (AWIN) cultivates success in career aspirations for women across all levels of Ashland in pursuit of greater inclusion and diversity. The organization recently brought a cross-functional, international group of 24 women solvers from eight countries together in Houston for a program to help enhance professional and personal development and enable opportunities for growth.

Solvers receive Bell Seal Silver Medal Award Certification

Ashland solvers Jackie Lewis and Brian Hudson, of the Ashland Columbus-Hillard plant, have received the Bell Seal Silver Medal Award Certification, sponsored by the Mental Health America Group, for their efforts to address mental health in the workplace.
